I’m a big fan of portraits. Even self portraits…especially self portraits. I know some who do, but I don’t consider it vain. The face and body can tell a million stories and when someone else is doing your portrait, you get a bit of what they see in you (or even what they see in themselves) in the end result. But…when it’s YOU telling and executing the story, perhaps the intention can be more clear. I found this great post on A Beautiful Mess ….
…and it’s something that I want to start playing around with. I’m usually the one behind the camera and it’s not that I hate being on the other side, it’s just that…I love photographing the people in in my life and the world around me, but I also want to be in the world that I’ve captured as well.
